Policies

The Big Rivers Conference, founded in 1956, started with five schools: Eau Claire Memorial, La Crosse Central, Wausau, Marinette, and Menomonee (MI). Over the years, its membership changed significantly:

1963: Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Eau Claire North, and La Crosse Logan joined; Marinette and Menomonee left.
1970: Wausau split into Wausau East and Wausau West.
1973: Wausau East and Wausau West left.
1986: Hudson and Rice Lake joined.
1989: River Falls joined; La Crosse Central and La Crosse Logan left.
1998: New Richmond joined.
2002: New Richmond left; Superior joined for football (later for boys soccer, boys swimming, and gymnastics).
2021: New Richmond rejoined.
